Non Profit Organisations Supporting Charities
Rotary Clubs
Rotary International (also known as the Rotary Club) is an international human service organization which brings together business and professional leaders in order to provide humanitarian
services, encourage high ethical standards in all vocations, and help build goodwill and peace in the world.
There are 34,282 clubs and over 1.2 million members worldwide in more that 200 countries. There are around 530 districts, and these are organized into 34 zones. Each zone has about the same
number of Rotarians.
It is a secular organization open to all persons regardless of race, colour, creed, religion, gender, or political preference.
Who are Members of Rotary Clubs
Rotarians are business and professional leaders who volunteer their time and resources to help others in their local communities and throughout the world. Rotary members hail from a range of
professional backgrounds; doctors, artists, small business owners and stay-at-home parents.
What do Rotary Clubs do?
Rotarians contribute their time, energy and passion to service to others, to sustainable, long-term human development projects in local communities across the globe. Projects focus on important
issues like peace and conflict resolution, disease prevention and treatment, water and sanitation, maternal and child health, basic education and literacy and economic and community
development.
Members usually meet weekly for breakfast, lunch or dinner, which is a social event as well as an opportunity to organize work on their service goals.
Partnerships
Partnerships are vital to our mission. We work with government entities, nongovernmental and nonprofit organizations, and universities to expand our scope of service and develop new
opportunities.
