Foundation for the Blind in Thailand provides help to those who are visually impaired regardless of ethnicity, gender and religion. FBT provides career training in order to help blind people live happily. The foundation also collaborates with other local and international organizations either government sector or NGOs to promote activities which benefit blind people.
Foundation for the Blind in Thailand, under the Royal Patronage of HM the Queen, was established on May 10, 1939 by Miss Genevieve Caulfield, an American lady who established the first school for the blind in Thailand. Donations to FBT is entitled for tax deduction in Thailand in line with the Finance Ministry declaration item number 75.
